Day 1 - Lima
International flight arrival to Lima. Private airport transfer to your hotel with hotel lobby welcome greeting, Peru orientation, and welcome gift from Dargui Tours' travel adviser (Welcome may be following morning depending on time of arrival). Overnight stay.
Day 2 - Get to Know Lima (optional day)
After included hotel breakfast, morning or afternoon half-day tour (4 to 5 hours).. Tour is an optional Lima City Tour or Peruvian Cuisine Gastronomic Tour.
Lima City Tour will showcase the mixture of Spanish colonial sites near Downtown Lima along with the modern design of Miraflores and San Isidro. The Gastronomic Tour will introduce you to the staples of Peruvian Cuisine throughout several districts of the city. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 - Arrival to Puno
Early morning reception and transfer to Airport and transfer to your Hotel in Puno. Free morning.. Because of the high altitude it is advisable that you take a rest to acclimatize.
Afternoon reception for Puno City Tour (between 3 or 4 hours). Tour includes the visit to the Puno Cathedral and Main Square, the unusual arcitechure surrounding Pico Park, and a visit to the Yavari Naval Museum. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4 - Visit to Uros Floating Islands & Amantani Island
After included breakfast at hotel, reception and excursion onto Lake Titicaca in motorboat to reach the famous Lake Titicaca Floating Islands. Made of totora reeds, the native Uros of Peru, descendants of a pre-Inca tribe, live here throughout the year.
Lunch provided in home of Uros. Optional short excursions will be available to sail from one island to another on a reed raft. Afterwards, we will continue by motorboat towards the island of Amantani, located to the Northeast of Puno. Return to hotel in Puno for overnight stay over (Optional evening dinner and stay at family home in Amantani).
Day 5 - Visit to Taquile Island
Included breakfast at hotel. In the morning. Morning excursion to further island of Taquile to meet the Quechua-speaking Taquilenos.. This island is known for its tradition of fine textile handicrafts rocky and very steep topography with pre-Inca archaeological remains. A small hike will take you to the sweeping vista from a principle arch nested above Lake Titicaca. Afternoon restaurant lunch.
Boat return to Puno for overnight stay in hotel.
