Day 1 -  Lima 

International flight arrival to Lima. Private airport transfer to your hotel with hotel lobby welcome greeting, Peru orientation, and welcome gift from Dargui Tours' travel adviser (Welcome may be following morning depending on time of arrival). Overnight stay. 

Day 2 -  Get to Know Lima (optional day) 

After hotel breakfast, morning or afternoon half-day tour (4 to 5 hours).. Tour is an optional Lima City Tour or Peruvian Cuisine Gastronomic Tour. 


Lima City Tour will showcase the mixture of Spanish colonial sites near Downtown Lima along with the modern design of Miraflores and San Isidro. The Gastronomic Tour will introduce you to the staples of Peruvian Cuisine throughout several districts of the city. Return to hotel for overnight stay. 


Day 3 - Arrival to Chachapoyas 

After hotel breakfast, reception and transfer to the Lima Airport for flight to Jaen in northern Peru.. Reception at Jaen Airport for 5-hour transfer towards the city of Chachapoyas  During your travels, you'll encounter a biodiverse region on the border of the jungle and the highlands with stops for photos and lunch. We'll pass through several valleys including near the Maranon River and near rice paddies and coconut palms. Before arrival we'll pass near the Utcubamba Canyon by the banks of the river Utcubamba,and reach the town of Chachapoyas. Depending on your hotel selection, an additional transfer may be required. Arrival to your hotel, welcome, dinner on own, and overnight in hotel. 

Day 4 - Arrival & Excursion to Kuelap Fortress 

After included hotel breakfast, we'll descend the valley of the Utcubamba River. We'll travel an hour to observe the circular stone ruins at the archaeological site of Macro and will go to Tingo before boarding a brand new cable car for a 20 minute trip to arrival to La Malca. Finally we'll walk 2 kilometers to visit the citadel of Kuelap. This incredible archaeological complex is located high in the Andes and contains over 400 houses with walls of 17 meters high. It was the capital of the Chachapoyas culture. After return hike and cable ride, return transfer to your hotel and overnight stay. 

Day 5 - Hike to Gocta Waterfall

After included breakfast, descend the Utcubamba River Valley for about one hour for arrival to Cocachimba. From here we will go by foot or horseback for a roughly 6-kilometer hike to the majestic Gocta Falls  On  the way we'll see local agricultural production and the dense vegetation of a  cloud forest and possiblly the national bird of Peru - the Cock of the Rock. We'll arrive at the falls with time to observe, enjoy, and eat a brief lunch. Return hike and transfer back to your hotel for evening arrival and overnight stay. 

Day 6 - Return to Lima & Flight to Cusco (optional) 

After early breakfast, reception and return transfer for  5-hour journey back towards Jaen Airport. Depending on flight time to Cusco, immediate connection to your flight to Cusco with reception and arrival to your hotel in Cusco with relaxation remainder of evening.


Please note that depending on flight times from  Jaen to Lima, an additional evening in Lima may be required. You do have the option to end services here or continue the program to Cusco. 

Day 7 - Day in Cusco & Tour of the City 

After breakfast at your hotel, spend the morning with free time to explore the capital of the Inca Empire in Cusco. and acclimatize to the difference in elevation


In the afternoon, a half-day Cusco City will highlight Cusco’s historic past and blend of Incan and Spanish architecture. The excursion features walk-thru tours of the Cathedral and the ruins of Koricancha .You will also explore the four main ruins just outside the city: the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Kenko, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Return to hotel in Cusco for overnight stay. 

Day 8 - The Sacred Valley

Included breakfast at your hotel. Transfer and journey to The Sacred Valley of the Incas. Pisac, our first stop is famous for its Sunday Mass and daily outdoor market, along with a stop to visit ruins in Urubamba.  After buffet lunch, visit the Inca Citadel at Ollantaytambo, a complex of ruins distinguished by fine masonry, terraces,  fortress walls, and the Temple of the Sun.  Return to Cusco for overnight stay. 

Day 9 - Arrival to Machu Picchu

Included breakfast at your hotel, then reception and transfer to the train station to board PeruRail’s Expedition Train. Greeting in Aguas Calientes and transfer by bus to explore the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu  For two horus with guide, experience the secret city of the Incas. Never discovered by the Spanish, it remains South America´s most spectacular archaeological site.


Explore Machu Picchu for two more hours on own before returning to Aguas Calientes with Lunch buffet. Train return and transfer to Cisco for overnight stay. 

Day 10 - Return to Lima

Included breakfast at your hotel. Mid-morning reception and transfer to Cusco Airport and connect to final international destination in Lima (depending on flight time. (See options below).
