In 1988 Dargui Tours opened its doors with a one-room office in Zarate, Lima. After years of working in the tour and travel agency business in Lima, Oscar Guido Quintana and his wife Vilma Fernandez wanted to pour all of their knowledge and experience into their own Lima travel agency with their own clients. They developed relationships throughout Lima with operators, hotel partners, and saw areas throughout Peru that were just beginning to open up to the growing tourism industry in the late 1980s and early 1990s. A 2nd office then quickly opened up on the Plaza de Constitucion in Huancayo, Peru.
Oscar's entrepreneurial,big-picture mentality meshed well with Vilma's pragmatism and business slowly took off. Dargui Tours opened its principle office in San Isidro in 1995 and also opened two more offices in Huancayo in 2014 & 2016, and has been a major tour operator in the Junin Region for 2 decades.
Our personalized approach with each client has built a foundation of trust with our clients, many of whom have worked with us since the beginning. We've also expanded our booking services to work with more groups and provide destination management services to the many national and international groups who've taken notice of Lima. Community involvement has also played a large role in the history of Dargui Tours, especially with Oscar and Vilma's involvement with the leadership of Lions Club International since the 1980s.
Principally, travel at Dargui has always been about the passion, fun, and changed perspectives that come with experiencing a new city, a vibrant national park, or partaking in the local cuisine. We are one of the few Travel Agencies in Peru with 3 decades of history, and it's because of the passion. We love Peru and are excited to continue exploring in our country in the decades to come!
